Experience as a game developer
Since late 2021, I have been developing games and working on prototypes, primarily in Unity, but have also spent some time in Unreal Engine. Throughout this time, I have become proficient with C# as well as using Unity as a game engine, and have also developed my 3D asset creation skills in Blender and a bit in Maya. I have also become comfortable with using photo editing software such as Photoshop and GIMP to create 2D art assets and basic illustrations for my projects.
In terms of my projects, PenGuns, released in mid 2022, was the first official project that I worked on in a group environment and for 13 weeks, while Cat on Hats was developed in a similar amount of time in early 2023. For both of these project I also worked as a designer and programmer. The other two projects seen on the home page were both published in Steam fairly recently, with Chasing Cassidy being the final project for my Bachelor degree. For this project, I worked as a character artist and created 10+ low poly characters in Blender, and also worked as a secondary programmer.
We were given two trimesters (26 weeks) to complete this project, with the first trimester spent conducting research, pitching, planning and developing initial prototypes. The second trimester was then spent developing the project, which was completed in early December 2024 and published on Steam on December 25, 2024. The other project published on Steam, Undead Desert Massacre, was my personal project that I developed in-between studying and working part-time. I published this project on Steam on January 25, 2025, after 5-6 months of development, where I worked as a solo programmer, designer, animator and 3D artist.
